Playing golf at the Achensee
69 years ago, one Englishman created history here when he hit a ball with his club on the meadows where cows used to graze. The Director of the Tyrolean Association of Hydraulic Power Plants TIWAG (Tiroler Wasser-Kraftwerke), Dr. Leopold von Pasquali, witnessed this game himself. He then dedicatedly went about acquiring a new attraction for the place and its hotels, which gave rise to a golf facility.
Golfing in the heart of the Achensee and the nature-protected region of Karwendel
Pertisau is home to the first Golf club in Tyrol, named Golclub Achensee. As the years rolled by, the golf course expanded from a meadow to an 18-hole course with a driving range and club building. Guests and members can now make use of this exclusive facility.
