Skiing wonders of the Achensee

Broad-jump swings in soft snow, free lifts and no long waiting queues, romantic huts reminiscent of the olden days. The ski area Pertisau can best be described as an insider’s tip. A compact area afore the throes of the Karwendel mountains and Achensee, which has an attraction for every palate. 

Many hills for beginners and two ski slopes for children make life easy for children and late learners of skiing. Moderately difficult and even “black“ slopes on the Zwölferkopf are a delight for stalwarts - and for snowboarders and deep snow lovers, there is always a stretch of slope reserved. 

Skiing breaks on the Zwölferkopf are best enjoyed in a ski hut and a snack bar with a relaxation area. Children especially love a ride in the Snowtubing train where they - and their parents too – can slide down a pipe on a very safe slide. Trekkers, winter walkers and sledge riders, too, are welcome here.

• Ï The valley station of the Karwendel mountain train is located approx. 10 minutes on foot from the Hotel Post. Of course, the station has parking space, however, a more comfortable journey in winter would be with the ski bus. This bus stops directly at our hotel doorstep several times a day.
• Your skiing and snowboarding equipment is well taken care of in the Post am See. Our very own ski equipment room, which is carefully locked every night, is at your disposal. On the workbench in the ski equipment room, you will also find skiing wax and tools for minor repairs.
