You can walk to the Rodlhütte Pertisau on Zwölferkopf from the valley station of the Karwendel cable car in around half and hour, or take the hourly “Rodlexpress”. The hut has a wonderful quaint mountain ambience, as well as fantastic views over Pertisau and the Achensee. After some refreshments in the cosy hut, the 1.1-km-long illuminated toboggan run provides a pure tobogganing thrill and is separated from the ascent path for safety!
You'll find other toboggan runs around the region in Maurach (towards Buchauer Alm), Eben (towards Wiesing) and Achenkirch (Christlum – tobogganing by night every Wednesday evening!)
You can borrow child and family sledges for free from the Hotel Post am See.
