The Rofan cable car runs from Maurach to the walkers' paradise of the Rofan with its roughly 150 kilometres of walking trails and paths, which means you can start your adventure at 1,850 metres above sea level.
The cable car is the quickest way to get from Pertisau to the summit of the Zwölferkopf at 1,500 metres above sea level, where you can set off on walks, relax on the terrace of the Alpine inn or simply take in the magnificent 360°-panorama.
The easiest way to explore the largest lake in Tyrol is by boat. In the summer months, you can enjoy a round-trip on the Achensee at hourly intervals on the MS Tirol or the MS Stadt Innsbruck.
125 years – and still has all its teeth! The venerable steam cog railway has been covering the 400-metre difference in altitude from Jenbach station to the Achensee since 1889, making it the oldest steam-operated cog railway still in operation anywhere in the world.
